Captain Peter Lawson-Johnston

Capt. Peter Lawson-Johnston is the owner and operator of Lowcountry Premier Fly Fishing in Charleston, South Carolina. Peter started fly fishing with his father at the age of 8 and never looked back. Over the years, he has traveled across the globe and developed a deep passion for bonefishing in the Caribbean, striper and albie fishing in New England, and tarpon fishing in the Florida Keys. After high school, Peter went to the College of Charleston in South Carolina where he was introduced to redfish. Peter took every chance he could to go explore the marshes of the lowcountry and learn as much as possible about sight fishing redfish on fly. These days, he’s happy to be able to introduce anglers to the lowcountry as a guide.
